My Friend Is My Earth Angel

I wasn‘t really looking
For a new Friend to hold dear,
When she showed up on my doorstep
I found God answered an unspoken prayer.

For when I am feeling happy
My Friend is always near,
Lending her beautiful smile
To share in my good cheer.

And when I am feeling angry
My Friend is always near,
Her calm understanding
Makes my anger disappear.

When I am feeling afraid
My Friend is always near,
Her compassionate strength
Chases away all my fears.

When I am feeling confused
My Friend is always near,
She thinks of all the options
Then she supports me until I get there.

When I am feeling lonely
My Friend is always near,
She always makes time for me
I never need to shed a tear.

My Friend is my earth Angel
Suddenly it seems so clear,
If I didn’t have my Friend
My life would seem so bare.
